What's more fun than a basket full of puppies?  Enjoying play time, learning with your puppy and making new puppy and people friends!

Our positive, reward based program is a great bonding experience for you and your pup.  Arfington™ Pet Resort  is a fenced, safe, clean, and fun facility.  We incorporate music, games, play, and naptime into our class.  Join us on Tuesday evenings for more fun than humans should be allowed!

The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) believes that it should be the standard of care that puppies should receive socialization before they are fully vaccinated.  This introductory class covers housetraining, mouthing and play biting, social skills, handling, and an introduction to basic commands.

Veterinarians specializing in behavior recommend that owners take advantage of every safe opportunity to expose young puppies to the great variety of stimuli that they will experience in their lives. Enrolling in puppy classes prior to three months of age can be an excellent means of improving training, strengthening the human-animal bond, and socializing puppies in an environment where risk of illness can be minimized.  

The next class is scheduled to begin on January 13, 2009 at 6:00pm.  The class will meet for at the same time each week for 4 consecutive weeks.  The cost is $100 per puppy and there must be at least one adult handler per dog.  This class is for puppies 7 through 16 weeks old.  Pre-registration and proof of puppy boosters/vaccinations is required.

What to bring to class: the puppy student, a nylon buckle collar, a six foot leash (no retractable leashes), a soft bed or blanket, and a bag of soft favorite treats cut or broken into very small pieces.
