Group Lessons at Plantation Heritage Park

Imagine teaching your dog basic skills: sit, down, come, stay, and loose leash walking in a beautiful and fun setting. We will address problem behaviors like jumping up, leash pulling, and play biting to make your dog a good family member. Our positive, reward based program is a great bonding experience for you and your dog under the lovely shady trees at Plantation Heritage Park. We incorporate games and fun contests during class too!  Join us on Saturday mornings for more fun than humans should be allowed!

Our next class begins Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 9am.  We will skip class on March 3 to allow students to enjoy the Humane Society Walk for the Animals.  The remaining classes are scheduled for 3/10/12, 03/17/12, 03/24/12, 3/31/12, 04/07/12 all at 9am.  This lovely setting is an ideal place to bond with your dog on Saturday mornings.  This 6 week program covers basic dog obedience commands: sit, stay, down, come, walking on a leash, and greetings.  The cost is $110 per dog and there must be at least one adult handler per dog.  The $110 fee does not include the park entrance fee of $1.50 per person per lesson.  The dog student must be at least 5 months of age and have a current Broward (or Dade) County Rabies tag.  Handler must be at least 14 years old.  Any handlers between the ages of 14 and 18 years old must be accompanied by the same parent for every class.  No aggressive dogs please.

What to bring on the first day of class: the dog student, a nylon buckle collar, a six foot leash (no retractable leashes), and a bag of favorite treats cut or broken into small pieces.  We will meet in the parking lot by the park management office.
