Teaching Tricks Group Lessons at Plantation Heritage Park Bring our your dog's inner star! Teaching tricks are not only fun for owners but also help to mentally stimulate your dog’s brain. Tricks are also a great way to build your dog’s confidence and can help the human/canine bond. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to teach your dog some new and fun behaviors! Classes run fall through spring. The next class is scheduled to meet January 14, 2012 at 11am. Classes will be held every Saturday after that for 5 more consecutive weeks. The cost is $110 per dog and there must be at least one adult handler per dog. The $110 fee does not include the park entrance fee of $1.50 per person per lesson. The dog student must be at least 5 months of age and have a current Broward (or Dade) County Rabies tag. Successful completion of basic obedience is strongly encouraged. No aggressive dogs please. What to bring on the first day of class: the dog student, a nylon buckle collar, a six foot leash (no retractable leashes), a clicker (available at pet stores), and a bag of favorite treats cut or broken into small pieces. We will meet in the parking lot by the park management office. Please click below to download the required registration forms and information packet.
